“Essay” in Spanish has been called “Ensayo”. It is a noun which means “attempt” or “trial”. It has other meanings too which are “test”, “experiment”, “exercise” and “rehearsal”. Considering first two literal meanings this word has a most profound description. Basically according to French Dictionary this word has came from a word essayer which mean to try or to attempt and this sense it has been used as a verb when it was first originated. But with the passage of time its “verb essay” has been dominated by its “noun essay” and a form of writing which undertakes a topic with relevance to the writer’s or reader’s point of view corresponded by the noun essay. It is used as a subjective and it is very closely connected to the word “assay” which gives a clear and more precise picture of the word “Ensayo”. We can say that it as a procedure of checking or evaluating the state of affairs. It can also be used as a method of analyzing of a specific substance. Deliberately, its meaning is to work to accomplish a particular thing and in other words we can also say that it is described as the procedure of gaining experience to achieve significant improvement.
