This Question Is Answered:
My cat Egor is about 8 years old and he is my favourite pet. He started having seizures a few years ago and now he is brain damaged. What can I do to make him really healthy and have the longest possible life?

I can sympathize with the fact it is hard to watch a pet become ill after how close you've grown to him.

After researching feline epilepsy, it seems the best thing would be is to take him to the vet and get him on anti-convulsant medication (which runs to about 20 dollars a month).

Other preventative treatments can be very expensive (such as getting him an MRI, like a human would), and I understand some people cannot afford this for their pet.

Other suggestions were to make sure to prevent your pet from self injury when experiencing a seizure by moving furniture out of the way. He probably doesn't comprehend what is going on because he's confused after the episode is over, so I would just try to provide him with a loving and comforting home.
