    Our Dog Has Grown A Large, Softball Size Mass On The Side Of Her Face Overnight. There Is Not Any Puncture Wounds Or Marks Of Any Kind. What Could This Be?

    Dog is a n English mastiff-she did not have any lumps that we noticed yesterday and today she has a hard, softball size mass on the side of her face. No oozing or bite, puncture marks of any kind. She is 3 yrs old.

    Check her mouth. She could have a tooth abscess. You should take her to the Veterinarian to matter what. They would be able to place a drain in it, clean her teeth and set you up on antibiotics. This might get a little expensive, though (we charge around $250 total).

      It could be a tumor. My dog had a growth and it was a tumor, per my vet.

      It could be an infection. Our great Dane had one that popped up quickly and he needed antibiotics.
