What Is The Honey Badger Like?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The honey badger, otherwise known as a ratel, is a powerful animal that is found in the African grasslands and savannahs. It hunts for food and feeds on berries, fruit, rodents and snakes, being fully omnivorous. It is almost nocturnal and does most of its hunting at night, although it may collect and feed on plant food during the day,

The honey badger has black fur on its legs and underparts and on the snout and most of its face. It then has a swathe of grey and white hairs that extends from the middle of its forehead to the tip of its tail. It looks like a skunk with one grey thick stripe and resembles a badger found in the UK.

It has strong forefeet with thick and sturdy claws and a thin snout with small black eyes. It cooperates with the honeyguide to obtain the location of bees nests so that it can eat the honey and grubs inside.
