I hear of false pregnancy in dogs but i don't know how to tell the difference. My female and male dachshund mated together about 3 weeks ago and since then, my female has lost a significant amount of weight in the last 2 weeks. She is now leaking a dark greenish brown discharge but is getting her appetite back but still hasnt gained her weight back.

I am a breeder as well. There are possibilities of false pregnancy, however, the symptoms you described are common in pregnancy. Normally their abdomen will increase in size 30-50% in the last 20 days of pregnancy. You may also notice her nipples getting larger and she will begin "bagging". You will also notice her licking herself more. Also, she will lose some hair around her nipples. In addition, she will require lots of affection and will show you more affection. Good luck.
