    The scientific name for lynx is Lynx canadensis. This type of lynx is also commonly known as the Canadian lynx. It is a type of cat with a very small tail (just a stub really). It is similar to a bobcat and is large, weighing about 18 to 35 kgs. Another characteristic of lynx are the long clumps of hair on the top of each ear and a black tail end.
    Lynx usually live for about 15 years and their diet mostly consists of hare. It has very sharp teeth.
