What Are The Uses Of Clove?

Cloves serve as a different purpose in different countries. They are mostly used for cooking but in the ground form. It is used as a spice in food in Europe and Asia. In Indonesia it is used in a cigarette kind of thing, which is known as kretek. In the West, it used in coffee bars, where it is mixed with marijuana to make marijuana spliffs (joints). In Chinese and Japanese culture it is considered to be as an important incense material. In the Indian cuisine both in the north as well as South it considered as a very important spice for cooking. Across the globe, clove oil is used as an aroma therapy and even to treat toothache in dental emergencies.

Cloves are mainly harvested in Zanzibar, Indonesia and Madagascar; it is also grown in India, and Sri Lanka.
