What Was The Book “Power Of The Sword” By Wilbur Smith All About?
Answers
Power of the Sword was a continuation in a line of books that formed a series of books concerning the Courtney family by Wilbur Smith. The book had at its centre the two sons of Centaine de Thiry Courtney; who came over to Africa in a boat only to become one of the richest women after discovering diamond deposits in a place sacred to her San rescuers.
The two sons are brought up in different environments and of course also are of different blood. The elder is Shasa Courtney while the younger is Manfred De La Rey. The former is groomed in high society and enjoys the benefits of wealth while the latter is inspired by Nazi supremacist ideology of the Nazis. Manifred travels to Germany, marries an Intelligence officer, and returns to execute an assassination attempt on the South African President.
