Can You Get Mersa In A Swimming Pool?

in a 55+ community there are people using the pool who are incontinent, some have sores on their bodies. Many of us have gone through chemo or have low immune systems. The management has permited everyone to use the pool as it would be discriminating against a disability ?

It's MRSA not mersa, and yes if you swallow some of the water or if you swim in it with a wound then you can get it.

I have read about it and what I found stated that everyone should shower before and after getting in a public pool. MRSA is resistant to most antibiotics and could very well continue to spread even in chlorine water. They said getting in a pool when someone who has MRSA has been in it is like licking the floor at the hospital.
