I feel at 12 you should know how to cleanse, tone and moisturise your skin. Use a very natural lipstick and mascara if going out. None for school! At 12 you should look natural not common. At that age you have naturally beautiful skin - keep it that way and make us old ones envious!

i think 12 is to young for make-up...but to start to learn how to wear it, and what to wear of it, and where to wear it...then in that case 12 is a o.k age...
