What Did Cameras Look Like As They Evolved Through Time?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Early camera's had a sliding box for focusing. Before every exposure, a sensitized plate is placed in front of the viewing monitor to record the image. Some processes utilized the copper plates while the later process that was invented by William Fox Talbot recorded metaphors on paper.

Over the years, this process developed into collodion wet plate process, which was done in a mobile darkroom. There are a few camera models in which this same process of sensitizing and increasing of the plates could be conceded inside the camera itself rather than the procedure being held in a separate darkroom. Conventional cameras captured light onto photographic film or photographic plate.

The first ever camera was invented by Johann Zahn in the year 1685. However, video and digital cameras today capture images which are either stored in a computer recall chip inside the camera for later playback.
