How Long Is A Rectangle That Is 3' Wide With A Parameter Of 28?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

    The perimeter of the rectangle = 28
    Width = 3
    Length =?
    We can find the length using the formula of the perimeter for a rectangle:
    P = 2(L+W)
    28 = 2 (L+3)
    28 = 2L+6
    2L = 28 – 6
    2L = 22
    Divide both sides by 2:
    2L/2 = 22/2
    L = 11
    So the length = 11
