I'm due to have back surgery, which I desperately need to have done asap. I have a urine test in a couple of days and I really need it to show no nicotine. Is there anything I can do?

Are you sure they are testing your urine for nicotine?
Usually a urine test before surgery is for possible UTI =urinary tact infection and other test to be sure you kidneys are functioning at there best.
I have had three back surgery's and at no time did they test my urine for nicotine.
Good luck if you need any advice abut back surgery's and such I have had two laminectomy's and a fusion.

Oh they might test for drugs -recreational drugs but more likely they are not testing for either just for the possible chance of an infection.

Well nicotine isn't a drug, so why would it really matter? But there's no way you can cleanse yourself in like 2 days, so idk what to do for you.. Get some one else to pee in the cup for you.. Lmao idk i saw that on t.v.

The continine is the metabolite of nicotine which is tested in nicotine urine test. The excretion of the this metabolite through urine is reduced in the alkaline pH. The acidic pH is responsible for quick excretion of the metabolite of nicotine. You have not mentioned that since long you are smoking? Because in chronic smokers, its excretion can take months. There are some over the counter products are available which claim to be effective. One of these products is Nicotine cleanse.
