Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Before a person is hired to be an agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (which is abbreviated as the FBI). Apart from undergoing arduous training to become an FBI employee, it is mandatory for each candidate to get a clearance from two levels of management, namely the top secret (which is abbreviated as TS) security clearance and the TS/SCI clearance.

They have to pass single-scope background investigations. These are abbreviated as SSBI and conducted by the Office of Personnel Management. All aspirants also undergo a rigorous physical fitness test and a mandatory random drug test.

This physical fitness test include running a distance of approximately 300 metres, sit-ups for a duration of about one minute, maximum push-ups and a run during which each of the aspirants must cover a distance of approximately one-and-a-half miles.

One might also consider that you would be operating as an agent of a foreign power (The USA) within the Sovereign nation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Why exactly would you need to be here?
