My husbands name was the only name on the mortgage of my home. The bank is demanding I refinance the home in my own name. Why do I have to do this?

You will need to go to Probate court with your Marriage cert. And his Death Cert. Have the Mortgage and Deed transferred over to your name. You must also notify your Mortgage Company after you go to Court. I suggest you go to Court before you say anything to the Mortgage Co. Good Luck.
