Communication travels in all directions in a workplace. There is upward communication, downward communication and vertical communication.
The upward communication in a workplace happens when a worker communicates with the bosses or the higher ups. The downward communication happens when he communicates with his subordinates. The vertical communication is the communication of the worker with his colleagues that might be within his function or outside his function.
