What Is Worshipping And Praising God?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

The belief that god is supreme and his authority is unquestionable in the world can be the perfect example of worshipping and praising god.

If we view the various words that come together to form the term, we will find that even if they are alone, they convey almost the same idea as the conjugated term and it is just the augmentation of the force that work in the favour of the formation of this term.

Worship is a word that can be used to say that you have extreme belief on somebody and your belief in him can never be questioned. And when it comes to the meaning of the word praise, it is almost the same idea but it is more about the expression of your belief to other people. So, when you are worshipping and praising god, you believe in his authority and also you convey this idea to people.

The word worship means - worthy of praise
most often when someone refers to praise - they mean singing to God but it can also be in words

worship is expressing adoration and devotion to God with words, singing or using instruments, even in telling others about Him.  If God is worthy (and He is) then we are to worship Him

Here's just a few of the many references in the bible...
-Deut 10:21 He alone is your God, the only one who is worthy of your praise, the one who has done these mighty miracles that you have seen with your own eyes.
-Judges 5:3"Hear, O kings! Give ear, O princes! I, even I, will sing to the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel.
-Gen 24:26 And the man bowed down his head, and worshipped the LORD.
-Psalm 66:4 Everything on earth will worship you (God) ;they will sing your praises, shouting your name in glorious songs.

Was wondering if you know how much God really loves you?  Have you ever really given it some thought?
