The new set of stamps which were released by the Postal Service of the United States of America on January 8 in the year 2006 cost 39 cents. In other words, they cost 0.39 cents, which is 39 per cent of the value of one United States dollar.

The Postal Service of the United States of America's recently-introduced set of stamps which cost 39 cents portrays the head, arm and torch of the Statue of Liberty, which is the most famous statue on New York harbour in the United States of America. The Statue of Liberty is superimposed over the flag of the United States of America, which is known as the Stars and Stripes.

This new set of stamps is called the Lady Liberty and the U.S. Flag. The Statue of Liberty was presented to the United States of America by France in 1886, to mark the hundredth anniversary of the independence in the United States of America.
