If you smoked just weed, the THC can stay in your gums for up to a week. Other than that, you really have no worries. I'd say 2 days tops as long as you're drinking enough water. A simple detox that will speed up the exit of THC and other marijuana bi-products from your system is to drink a lot of cranberry juice and take b and c vitamins. This will help your liver and kidneys filter everything out and you'll essentially pee it all out.
As for your gums, you're kind of stuck. If you're going to be administered a gum test, the best thing to do would be a detox as described above and a lot of mouthwash. Other than that, there isn't much else you can do.

oh also, it will stay in your hair follicles for a long time. Probably longer than 2 weeks. Traces of THC in hair follicles cannot be eliminated...you just have to give it time.

i'm assuming you ask because you have a drug test coming up. If it's just a urinary analysis, you'll be fine if you do a solid detox for a few days. Lots of cranberry juice, plenty of water, b and c vitamins, and you can even get detox tea at most grocery stores now.
