Is Dsl The Same As Broadband?
I am reading about what may slow down my computer and a lot of this reading material is about broadband. I wonder if the line is the same. Also my dsl speed was suppose to be about 780 when I installed it but the test result shows 4008 k bits downloaded in 7.451 sec. It also says 538 kbps. Do all three figures mean about the same thing.

DSL is a type of broadband. There is not (to the extent of my knowledge) a base speed for what constitutes broadband. DSL can come in many flavors and speeds, but generally speaking, almost always, yes DSL is a type of broadband.

Dsl is slower, I now have broadband ( comcast) and the speed is much faster. The local phone co. Blew smoke up my butt about dsl in the beginning and I'm happier on broadband,
