Going for a walk, if possible, otherwise just agree with everything she says till you can get to a safe house.

After having a "fit", I do pray for God to help me calm down...and depending on what the problem is, I may go for a walk, start vacuuming like a mad woman, or listening to my up-beat music!

Breathe......Long, deep breaths, slowly exhale.......I go pray and meditate......
Maybe take a nap.......It takes awhile for me to calm down if I get REAL upset....
.....I'll just cry, and cry.......It depends on the levels of my 'upset'.....I can be very MELANCOLY..........

I bite my teeth through my gums in order to not to say anything at that moment.  I like to think about things before I do or say anything, and then once I got all my facts straight then I nail the person to the ground and sow no mercy

Ice cream or chocolate are good.  Scream at the top of your lungs, kick a cat (works for me).  Kidding aside, calling a friend always helps.  Find something to laugh at.  Slow down.  Most of the time things won't really be as bad as they seem.

If I am at home when I get that upset, I will do the housework rather loudly, and then I will get on this puter and make myself happy again with helping people, I can get over something rather quickly, but the hubby, ...... Lmao roff, he is still holding grudges from childhood.
