    The Oxford English Dictionary defines 'brood' as a verb meaning 'worry or ponder, esp. Resentfully'.
    We can use it in a sentence as:
    1. Mary brooded about her bad day at school all through dinner.
    2. My grandfather brooded too much on the past and that made him miss much of the present.
    3. Harry brooded over his best friend's angry words.

      Brooded would mean feeling bad about something or keeping on thinking negatively about a happening.

      She brooded the loss of her job and had to be taken to the hospital and treated for depression
