Is Dialect Used To Shorten To Fit In A Poems Structure?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Sometimes it is easier to use dialect to shorten words to fit into the form of a poem, but it is also helpful to us apostrophes to replace letters.  For example, ev'ry would make the word every a two syllable word instead of a three syllable word. Doing this can help fit your words into the form of a poem easier.  It is also sometimes helpful to find synonyms as well.  If you have any more English related questions I can help anytime.  I am almost done with my degree and I will be an English teacher when I am done.
