    How Do I Calculate Salary Expectations?

    I am moving from an hourly job (bartender = hourly + tips) to a salaried career and need to figure out how much I should request. I'm trying to figure out how to get what I'm getting now plus some.

    The position I'm applying for is an odd job with no one local to compare salaries. ( There are approximately 50 - 60 people who do this in the entire US.)

    Check the average salary of the job in your area on which you are going to start work. Ask anything reasonable between the average salary.

    On the other hand, you know your hourly wages. Suppose if you were been working 8 hours daily and you were getting 30 pound per hour then it would take 240 pounds (8X30=240) in a day plus you can add any commission or bonus in it.
