What Was The Crux Of The Discussion Held Between The European Union Officials And Pakistan?

The crux of the discussioin held recently between the officials of the European Union and Pakistan in the capital city of the state Islamabad, revolved around the current state of affairs between Pakistan and Afghanistan.  The European Union, which was represented by ambassadors from countries like Germany, Portugal and Holland demanded the gist of the situation of the Pak-Afghan relations to which foreign minister Khurshid Kasuri gave them an encapsulated briefing about the entire state of affairs.  

The meeting, which lasted for about a whole hour, preeminently focused on the recently held Ankara Summit talks between the presidents of both Pakistan and Afghanistan, President Pervez Musharraf and Hamid Karzai respectively.  Furthermore Mr.Kasuri also illustrated to the European Union about Pakistan's perspective about the prospect of consolidating the border controls from its side, along with the need to encumber the growing menace of poppy cultivation and replace it with another crop.
