What Would I Need In A Home Office?

More and more of us are working from home and I will try to answer this question the best I can.  Of course, most people would need some basics, a good sturdy table and a decent, comfortable chair with decent support. Next, you will certainly need a good computer, laptop or desktop and a good printer.  Perhaps you will need a phone with an answer phone on it, or perhaps your orders will come in from the internet or email.

You will almost certainly need stationery, you will need lots of paper, pens, a noticeboard, a good year planner would also be good, to manage your schedule.

A filing cabinet might be useful, but most people can use the size of their hard drive to keep everything.  If you have broadband, you might consider an online information vault, or a secondary back up hard drive.

You might want a fax machine and you will certainly need an additional bank account for your business transactions.
