People have been consuming Mint Julep Cocktails for over a century. Mint Julep is not available at your local liquor stores. It is a ready to serve beverage made at home. Here's how you need to make it. Take two cups of granulated sugar, two cups of water, some fresh mint, crushed ice and Kentucky bourbon. First you have to make mint syrup by boiling sugar and water for five minutes. Add few bruised mint leaves and refrigerate it overnight. To bruise the mint leaves, tenderly pass the backside of the spoon on top of the leaves. Fragrant oil will be released. Add crushed ice into the glass then add one teaspoon of mint syrup and 2 ounces of bourbon. Stir it and add a few more mint leaves.
