    The latest version of windows released by Microsoft is given the name 'Windows Vista'. It is a new operating system that can be used on personal computers, notebook computers, Tablet PCs, and media centers. Windows Vista contains a great many number of new features.  The most important ones are updated graphical user interface and visual style dubbed Windows Aero.  It also has improved features for search, new multimedia creation tools and completely redesigned networking, audio, print, and display sub-systems. Windows Vista has built-in programs and setting such that one can communicate with the computer much better. These features are very helpful for people with vision and hearing impairments.

    With all these wonderful features, the future of Windows Vista is secure and it is here to stay. Although there are increased restrictions in licensing etc, it is more than likely that it will be adopted more and more across homes and businesses with passage of time. Moreover, it is and will be further influencing the evolution in the PC hardware. For example, moving from single core to multi core computers to support the multitasking environment of Windows.
