Blickling Hall is located in Norwich, Norfolk, England. It was built for Sir Henry Hobart, Lord Chief Justice to James I, in 1620. Robert Lyminge, the architect of Hatfield House was probably also the architect of Blickling Hall.

The second Earl of Buckingham John Hobart hired Thomas and William Ivory to remodel it. They made changes to the hall and giant staircase. The interior is Georgian whereas the exterior is Jacobean.
The surroundings of Blickling Hall are filled with oaks, beeches and chestnut trees that stretch all along an artificial lake. The garden has a formal layout, and in the eighteenth century was made more casual, changes have also been made in 1930. It includes a parterre and even has a temple along with a secret garden typical of the era. There is a beautiful lakeside and picturesque woodland walks.
