You should keep them in the medicine cabinet if you can. Then make sure that you keep the lid down on your toilet when flushing. I saw an episode on Oprah, don't know how I ended up there, but they did a test with blue water to show how far the water went when the toilet was flushed and the lid was up. Gross, that water flew up to 20 feet away. Just imagine.

I bleach mine every couple of weeks and keep it in the medicine cabinet. If you don't have a cabinet to keep it in or ran out of space put a cap on it.

I just do it so the brush isn't collecting funk not really worried about germs since I live with my fiance... I would dip the tips in bleach and then rinse well to keep the toothbrush from getting to much build up and kill germs if desired if they are gonna get sick they are gonna get sick not much we can do to stop it.

Keep it in a cup of dry baking soda, it is good to brush your teeth with as well.

I don't know, just some thoughts... I think I would just dip it in the baking soda and place the tooth brush on top of the soda. I would think you would not have to change it more than four or five times a year, depending on how much soda you have in the cup. If you have a half a box it would last the time I listed, if you only use a few teaspoons I would change it once a week. Kind of hard to do with the electric stand up brushes, however those do not always have to be on the charger as the charge lasts almost a week or longer depending on your brand. You could even have a box of baking soda in the bathroom and dip the tooth brush in the soda and lay it on a small tray and repeat each time after you have brushed your teeth. Baking soda is great for disinfecting and cleaning almost anything.
