Who Is Gwyneth Strong?

Gwyneth Strong is a British actress most noted for her role as Cassandra, partner and later, wife, of Rodney Trotter in the popular TV sitcom Only Fools and Horses. Strong was born in December 1959 in London. She first entered the world of acting at the age of 11, when she appeared in the Royal Court's production "Live Like Pigs".

As Cassandra Trotter (nee parry), Strong made her first appearance in Only Fools and Horses in the episode Yuppy Love. Cassandra met Rodney at an adult education centre session when they accidentally swapped the wrong raincoats. They later met randomly at a club later that night and they had a dance together. The dates continued and they got engaged and married in the 6th series. But their married suffered at least three temporary break ups before settling in the 1996 Christmas specials series. They had problems conceiving and Cassandra had a tragic miscarriage. But she successful gave birth to Joan, named after Rodney's mother, in the last ever series of the sitcom.
