My Cat Is Eating Ok But Is Losing Weight And Seems Lethargic Do You Know What It Could Be?

Answer Question

How old is your cat? Older cats are prone to renal failure. Has it been tested for FIV and Leukemia? Also cats can get diabetes, so if she is older or over weight that might be a possibility. Either way, I would get it checked out by your vet.

Cats with diabetes do drink a lot of water, and they also can have problems with their thyroid glands. The best thing you can do to get some answers, is to take her to the vet and let them draw some blood and do some tests. That will tell you right away if its diabetes, thyroid, or renal (kidney) problems. Two is young for most of these conditions, but not unheard of, so I would get it checked by your vet. Good luck.
