Maybe a small dog like a Pomeranian or toy poodle or chawala. i know i didn't spell it right i don't know how

 A little terrier are quite nice dogs...a dogs barking level is trained by the way it is locked after....a barking dog is an unhappy dog...luk afta ur dog and u shud av no problem with the barking level......:)

 How about a Shih-tzu. They were bred for companionship. They love to please. They are good with children. They are good for people who have allergies to other dogs because they have hair and not fur. I may be a little prejudice about the breed because I raised them for 20 years. We have retired from the business and still get calls from people looking for one. Have fun picking out your puppy.

 If you want a non barker I would not recommend a Pomeranian. I have 4 adult Pomeranians and all they do is sleep eat and bark. But I do have 3 pomeranian puppies that will be ready to sell in about 3 more weeks....hehe
