Most pocket doors come as a one piece kits, and basically you install the door in sort of the same fashion as a prehung.... the main difference is that the opening for the pocket door is usually twice the width of the door, since the frame is already made for you. The frame is actually the same width of your standard wall thicknesses (2x4, 2x6 etc) and make sure to specify that when you order/purchase it.
