This Question Is Answered:
If A Individual Who Is Christian Is Addicted To Cigarettes, Wants To Stop But Has Not Been Successful, How Does God View That Person, And When , If At All, Will He Say...I Know You Not?
Addiction of any kind is a terrible thing, that can allow many people both christian and non-christian, to wrongfully judge and individual. God knows the heart of every being He created, and he extends His love and mercy forgivingly. He commands us and expects us to make all effort to do what is right in His sight. God never leaves us without a means or plan to overcome those obstacles or face our problems.

Well, it's not one of the commandments, and all humans have weaknesses. I am not a Christian, but I don't think god casts out the weak, only the unrepentant sinners and the evil.

Try again..quitting the habit takes great effort on your part.. You should know that God appreciates your efforts of quitting to smoke..There are a lot of people who were once in your situation but were able to quit..Don't give up..Learn to love God more than this bad habit..The desire to please God will help you to stop smoking.Set a goal and stick to it. Do all you can to avoid a smoking environment... Associate with people who don't smoke..Sometimes you may experience a relapse but don't give up..You can quit smoking...My friend did.

Addiction may be a terrible thing in some cases but where does it say that it is a sin? I am trying to understand the correlation of your question to religion. I can be addicted to taking care of my lawn at times but does that mean that it is wrong because it is an addiction?

I am wondering if you are looking for some assistance in trying to quit smoking. You can ask for help in prayer but in reality, what you need to ask for is the strength to help you understand why you are addicted and what you can do to quit.

By the way, being a previous smoker who has now quit twice (yes, just one does hurt so I have learned). One of the things you need to understand is that smoking is both a habit and an addiction. You can take those nicotine supplements and work to wean yourself from the addiction but if you do nothing for the habitual side if it, you will be smoking again in no time. Figure out what makes it a habit (ie. Going out to socialize on break at work, breathing to help you relax, something in your hand etc.) and replace those habits with something else while at the same time, curb the addiction side with whateve means you need.

God know the inner heart mind and soul of all His children, you included. Ask and it shall be given.
