How Do You Find House Value In 1991 In Scotland?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The valuation list wherein the valuation band of your particular house would be given is available not only at main Libraries but also council offices in addition to the local Assessor's office.

A great site would be: www.primelocation.com/council-tax-advice. It offers invaluable advice. Here you can actually work out what properties would have been valued back in the year1991.

Essentially each house was considered and valued by the Assessor. The Assessor came up with a valuation list wherein each and every dwelling was positioned within one of these eight broad valuation bands. Remember, this was done the same for all, not considering whether any particular house was either owner-occupied or rented. The specific band in which homes were slotted depended on its particular estimated market value not at present but as at 1 April 1991.
