My Pet Bulldog Has An Embarrassing Habit Of Humping Absolute Everything. What Can I Do About This?

This type of behaviour is particularly troublesome in male dogs as their hormones play havoc with them. Luckily, there are a number of things you can try to cut down this behaviour and that includes telling them off in a firm voice. If they jump up to hump you, instead of laughing and making a light joke of it, simply say "no" in a firm, deep voice and attempt to walk away. If the dog does not respond to this, you could always try cold water. Have a water gun or a plant sprayer handy, and whenever the dog starts to hump anything it shouldn't, give it a quick blast of cold water and this should cool him down and take his mind off humping you!

However, if neither of those things work, you could always resort to neutering your dog and that will automatically calm his hormones down and he will not feel the need to hump anything. Some owners are dead set against having their dogs neutered but it is definitely usually better in the long run!

First maybe you can try getting him or her a toy and everytime they try to hump something go and get the toy and let it hump that ...good luck
