I'm 39 years Old and I'm afraid that I might get ovarian cancer. Does numbness in the upper thigh might have anything to do with the cancer. Where can I go to get checked out? Oh ya I'm also over weight. Are over weight women at more risk also? Thank you. Please help with worry.

Numbness in the upper thigh is not usually an indication of ovarian cancer. numbness can be caused by a nerve problem or a back injury. It could also be caused with a knee problem or injury. Weight may also be a factor in the numbness. Your gynecologist should be able to run test and studies to determine if you have ovarian cancer.

It depends on what you mean tested.  If you are having systems associated with Ovarian Cancer, I suggest you go see a Gynecological Oncologist as they are very knowledgeable in this area, as is a gynecologist, but the Gynecological specializes in this area.

If you are asking to just get a routine CA 125 blood test, you ca probably  just go to your gynecologist or primary care and get a request for a blood test.
