King Solomon is considered the ruler of an empire in Kingdom of Israel. He was born in 1000 BCE in Jerusalem. He ruled Israel from 970 BCE to 928 BCE. He is also described as a prophet in Islamic religion. King Solomon had great wisdom, many wives and much wealth and power. Bible mentions that King Solomon had 700 official wives. He was in quasi-matrimonial relationship with 300 women. He had political marriages; the real reason for such large number of marriages was political alliance with different nations.

These women belonged to different nations and worshipped different deities. They professed and practiced different religions and worshipped idols. Idol worship is not practiced in Islam. Thus, the King was criticized by Bible and in the Talmud. It is mentioned that the King did not sin but he attracted criticism for his lack of interest or failure to stop the idol worship by his wives.
