How Do I Get A Copy Of My GED?

I lost my GED certificate and need another copy.

    You can definitely get another copy. Just contact the school/institution that issued it in the first place with your ID and some nominal charge and they should be able to replace it. In some states like Texas and California, there is a separate agency like the Education Board or a records office that takes care of lost GED certificates.

    They're going to tell you that a you'll need to send them a money order of $12.00, along with your full legal name, your date of birth, your social security number, the exact date you took the test/or the year, the school or place you took the GED at, and you need to also have your signature.
