Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Before attempting copying mp3 files, make sure that you are not violating any of the copyright laws. Copying mp3 songs is not a different than copying any other computer files; only thing, one should be careful while burning a CD or DVD with the mp3 songs. For copying mp3 files on these mediums, the particular format is to be chosen in the burning software; otherwise, they will be copied as normal file format and may not work properly while replaying.

Ripping is required to be performed in order to reduce a digital audio track of any music CD to the corresponding mp3 file format. Requisite software for the purpose is available from the third party vendors as stand-alone programs or as a built in tool in the commonly available media player such as Windows Media Player, iTunes, etc. Generally, four bit rates, such as 128, 192, 256 and 320 Kbps, are used for recording of mp3 files through the ripping in the Windows Media Player.
