There are basic promotional guidelines I would say most businesses follow, however, strategies are more specific and will differ based upon type of business, the amount of money invested for the promotion, and the product or service being promoted. There's a never ending amount of ways to promote to people. Looking past that, I would say promoting in an interesting and cheap fashion is the best way to go. For instance, let's say your business is spending a lot of money on throwing an event (to obtain PR) for whatever respective product or service they are selling. There are ways to further capitalize on that, like with VIP Wristbands. Every event needs wristbands for crowd control and security, but you can customize them with company logos (branding), pictures/graphic, and even a website name. More people than not will remember your logo or website and check it out, and in some instances, they may even hold onto the wristband as a souvenir.
