Personal Money Orders Vs. Bank Money Orders?

Can a friend of mine deposit my personal money order into his checking or savings account and then give me the cash?

If the personal money order is accepted by the bank then your friend can do it. And you'll have no problem at all. In other case, it's not possible. So it depends upon the policy of the bank

Do you mean a Postal Money Order?? There isn't anything that is called a Personal Money Order. I think that banks must accept them and cash them. But with the way banks are nowadays , you probably need 16 pieces of photo ID and a writ from a supreme court judge if you don't have an account!!
