When Do People Get Their Tax Return Cheques?

It is believed that the government will start sending out the first of the hundred million cheques that it is supposed to from late July. The cheque will be disbursed over a period of ten weeks. The cheques will be issued every week based on the last two digits of a person's social security number. The process will start from the 20th of July and in the first week with cheques being sent out to people with the last two digits being 00 to 09. The next lot for those with the last digits being 10-19 will be issued in the next week from 27th of July onwards. The last lot will be from the 21st of September onwards being 90-99. The amount of money that will be sent back to every person will be around $300 for singles, $500 approximately for single parents and $600 for couples.
