I currently have an 8gb iPhone, when the iPhone 3G becomes available will I be able exchange or trade in my 8gb for the new model?

Thanks for all your answers, I just received an email from O2 who I have my phone contract with and existing customers will be offered an upgrade at no cost for a 8gb 3G iPhone. You do however have to sign up for another 18 months. Source: www.o2.co.uk

I used to work for AT&T and unless the phone has a defect and still under warranty, the answer would be no but then again, as fast as tech. Changes and policies, call and ask. Good luck.

Definitely exchanging or trading over your old phone is very common in the phone market. You can definitely get it exchange with the new model. Contact your phone vendor for details on payment.

After working for the company, unless policies have changed, I'd call first.

Aicha, that's not true, you can only exchange your phone normally when the contract expires.
