So where is the question. I was an international project manager for some time and had to deal with cultural differences of Europe, Asia and north America. I found that there are many books that help with this and in many cases, letting the people who you are visiting know that you are wanting to learn their cultural differences, they often will share some of the things that are important.
I also found very quickly that there are differences in each type of communication (telephone, email and in person). You have to watch details closely to see what they are and if you don't use these things, you will find that those people will shut you out quickly so your visits will be done for nothing.
