Yes, humans can be affected by the mange but only sarcoptic mange can affect. There are two major types of mange in dogs which are red mange and scabies or sarcoptic mange. Red mange is not contagious because small numbers of these mites are present on the body of dogs without harm. Only scabies or sarcoptic mange is contagious. These mites can affects pets and humans as well. So, pets should be treated for scabies whenever they have.
