Why Does My Diabetic Cat Have Such Dry Skin?
My cat is 10 years old. He is also overweight - 26 pounds! We give him 6 units of insulin twice a day. Whenever I brush him, I get huge amounts of fur and white, dry flakes. I give him 1000 mg of fish oil twice a day but instead of helping the skin it's just keeping him fat! Help!!

Some cats just have sensitive skin like that, I had a cat like that once. They make shampoo for cats with sensitive skin like this, but you might want to talk to the vet about it first, maybe they can recommend the best one for your kitty who has this disease. Hope this helps, good luck.
