    The town that is Harpenden found in the east of England is situated in the district of St Albans in the county of Hertfordshire. The town lies to the north of London. The county of Essex is to the East and the city of Cambridge to the North.

    The town has a population of around 35,000. It is serviced by train connections to London city. Especially the direct trains, that reach London non-stop in less than 30 minutes. The prices of property are also very high in Harpenden. Prices are nearly double the national and district averages. The easy connectivity with London along with the natural beauty of the town is the possible reason for this affluence.

    Green spaces abound all over Harpenden. The two hundred and thirty eight acre common of Harpenden is situated near the center of town and Normansland common is found south of the town. There are also the parks of Lydekkar Park, Batford Park, Rothamsted Park and Kinsbourne Green that help give the town its green touch.
