Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

There are no official statistics on the number of hospitals in London. It is thought that there are over 50 hospitals that are currently operating in London, United Kingdom. For instance hospitals in Central London would include Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and London Bridge Hospital. There is also the Moorfields Eye Hospital, which is a health trust that offers ophthalmic care to NHS as well as private patients all through London.

Another major hospital is The Portland Hospital, which is regarded as the only private hospital in London which is dedicated exclusively to women and children. Other hospitals include King George Hospital, which is an NHS hospital situated on Eastern Avenue, the London Borough of Redbridge. A major teaching hospital would be the Royal London Hospital, in Whitechapel, London, which was formerly called the London Hospital.
